Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PureTab, including the PureTab website, Chrome extension, account features, preset features, community features, paid features, billing-related services, and related support services.

PureTab is operated by HappyDeveloper ("PureTab," "we," "us," or "our"). By installing, accessing, or using PureTab, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use PureTab.

1. Service Overview

PureTab is a customizable new tab extension and productivity dashboard. It may include widgets such as clock, date, todos, notes, bookmarks, shortcuts, search, wallpaper, countdowns, focus tools, layout presets, and related customization features.

Core extension functionality can be used without creating an account. Sign-in is optional and is used for account-linked features such as saving presets, syncing account data, publishing or managing presets, billing, and support.

2. Accounts and Sign-In

You may need an account to use certain features, including account-linked presets, publishing features, paid plans, billing management, or support tied to your account.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. You must not use another person's account without permission, impersonate another person, bypass authentication, interfere with account security, or provide false or misleading account information.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@happydeveloper.life promptly.

3. License to Use PureTab

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the PureTab extension and website for personal or internal business productivity purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, interfere with, or create derivative works from PureTab except where permitted by applicable law or explicitly authorized by us.

4. Local Data and Browser Storage

Some PureTab data may be stored locally in your browser or device. This may include settings, layouts, notes, todos, bookmarks, shortcuts, wallpapers, preferences, and other dashboard configuration data.

Local data may be lost if you uninstall the extension, clear browser storage, reset your browser, disable browser sync, change devices, experience browser or operating system issues, or use conflicting third-party extensions.

You are responsible for maintaining backups of important information. PureTab is not designed to be a guaranteed backup service for critical data. We are not liable for local data loss except where liability cannot be excluded by applicable law.

5. User Content and Presets

You retain ownership of content you create, upload, save, publish, or share through PureTab, including presets, descriptions, layout configurations, screenshots, notes, links, images, and related materials ("User Content").

You represent that you have all rights necessary to create, upload, publish, or share your User Content and that your User Content does not violate any law, third-party rights, privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or these Terms.

For private or account-stored content, you grant PureTab a limited license to host, store, back up, process, display, and transmit the content only as needed to provide and maintain the service.

For public presets or other public content, you grant PureTab a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, adapt for technical formatting, and make the content available through PureTab. This license allows other users to view, copy, import, and use public presets through PureTab features.

You may delete or unpublish your content where the service provides that option. Copies previously imported or used by other users may remain with those users unless deletion is required by law or technically feasible within our control.

6. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You must not use PureTab to upload, publish, share, or distribute content that is illegal, fraudulent, harmful, abusive, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, infringing, privacy-invasive, malicious, deceptive, or otherwise violates applicable law or these Terms.

You must not publish content that contains malware, phishing links, scam links, credential-harvesting pages, unauthorized tracking, illegal content, copyrighted material without permission, personal data of others without lawful basis, or content that encourages harm or unlawful conduct.

You must not interfere with PureTab's operation, abuse APIs, scrape or crawl the service without authorization, bypass security controls, attempt unauthorized access, overload infrastructure, manipulate billing, abuse refunds, create fraudulent accounts, or misuse community or preset features.

7. Third-Party Services

PureTab may include links, integrations, embeds, or user-selected features involving third-party services such as search providers, media providers, image providers, payment providers, authentication providers, hosting providers, or other external services.

Third-party services are not controlled by PureTab. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, fees, restrictions, and data practices. PureTab is not responsible for third-party services, third-party content, third-party availability, or third-party data processing except where required by law.

8. Paid Features, Billing, and Refunds

PureTab may offer free and paid features. Paid features may include Pro plans, account-linked preset features, publishing features, increased limits, early access features, or other premium functionality.

Prices, billing cycles, renewal terms, cancellation options, and refund rules are described on the pricing page, checkout page, account billing page, and Refund & Cancellation Policy. Unless otherwise stated, paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.

You are responsible for canceling before the next billing date if you do not want renewal. Cancellation generally stops future renewal charges and does not immediately end access to the current paid period unless otherwise stated or required by law.

Refunds are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable mandatory law. Payment processing is handled by Polar. PureTab does not store full payment card numbers.

9. Service Changes and Availability

We may update, modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features for technical, legal, security, business, or operational reasons. We may also impose limits on certain features, including preset storage, publishing, sync, billing, or account features.

We try to maintain reliable service, but PureTab may be interrupted due to maintenance, updates, security incidents, network failures, third-party provider failures, browser changes, Chrome Web Store changes, force majeure events, or other circumstances.

We are not liable for service interruptions, data loss, or feature changes except where liability cannot be excluded by applicable law.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, remove content, or terminate access if we reasonably believe that you violated these Terms, created legal risk, engaged in fraud or abuse, infringed rights, threatened security, failed to pay applicable fees, or used PureTab in a harmful or unlawful way.

For serious violations, we may act immediately without prior notice. For less severe issues, we may provide notice or an opportunity to correct the issue where appropriate and feasible.

You may stop using PureTab at any time. You may delete your account using available account controls or by contacting support@happydeveloper.life.

11. Intellectual Property

PureTab, including its software, design, branding, trademarks, logos, user interface, code, documentation, and service content, is owned by PureTab or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights in PureTab to you. You may not use PureTab's name, logo, branding, or trademarks without permission except where allowed by law.

12. Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, ideas, or bug reports, you grant PureTab a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or compensation. We are not required to implement feedback.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process information. By using PureTab, you acknowledge that we process information as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Disclaimer

PureTab is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, and uninterrupted operation.

PureTab is a productivity and customization tool. It is not intended for storing critical, emergency, legal, medical, financial, or safety-sensitive information.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PureTab and its operators, affiliates, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, loss of goodwill, or device/browser issues.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim related to PureTab will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to PureTab during the three months before the claim or USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, limitations apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend and indemnify PureTab from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your User Content, your violation of these Terms, your misuse of PureTab, your infringement of third-party rights, or your violation of law.

This section does not apply where prohibited by consumer protection law.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes related to PureTab will be handled by courts with jurisdiction under applicable law. Mandatory consumer protection rights, local consumer forums, and non-waivable legal rights remain unaffected.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms due to legal, technical, operational, billing, or service changes. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice, such as through the website, extension, account page, or email where appropriate.

The updated Terms become effective on the stated effective date. Continued use of PureTab after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
